Dear Sirs:

We would like to comment on the recent door and window retrofit work your company did at our duplex in Holmes Beach, Florida.

You are to be congratulated on the individuals you have selected to work for and represent you. We found every contact to be professional and customer friendly.

Kendall B. was our primary contact and he did a great job of guiding us through hr selection process. Kendall also explained the contract details, timing, lead testing and other items to our satisfaction. He managed the permits, the installation logistics and subsequent follow-up.
Dan and Dustin were a great installation team. They removed our existing doors and aluminum awning windows with minimum stucco damage. We hired some professional painters to do repair and painting following the install. Both painters commented on both the high quality installation and the minimum damage. They said they had seen and repaired many similar retrofits, and this was the best work they had ever seen.

Even the Holmes Beach Building Inspector was complimentary of the installation.
We had selected the beige colored vinyl PGT WinGuard Impact 500 series casement windows with clear low-e impact resistant argon filled glass. These were fitted with the gray colored screens. They are great looking products and the window operators work well.

We also selected the Therma-Tru Smoothstar Fiberglass Doors with three point locking mechanisms and they look good and work well.

In any project, while perfection may be the goal, the reality is. There are always “little surprises”. The true measure of any organization is how well it manages those “surprises”. Again you are to be complimented on the professional manner in which these issues were handled. For example, one of the PGT windows had a crack, and your installer Dan had already called it in before we had even noticed it. The PGT service man was able to replace the glass within a three week period from the date it was called in. John S., the PGT representative, was professional and customer driven.

My wife and I were generally apprehensive with the thought or replacing 14 window opening (25 casement windows) and 5 doors on a 35 year old duplex. Your company made it as painless as possible, the damage was minimal, our floors were protected, the inside and outside were cleaned daily. We were kept adequately informed and all contacts were friendly and professional.

My wife and I are pleased with our overall experience and satisfied with the results. We feel we got good value and quality for the price we paid. We can honestly say we would recommend Universal Window Solutions to others who are considering a retrofit project like ours.

Dear Beverly,

Our window and door replacement project is just about wrapped up, so I wanted to thank you and let you know how very pleased we are with the result. As we discussed initially with you and Bob Smith, we wanted to take this opportunity not only to have our home conform to the Miami-Dade code for hurricane protection with permanent impact resistant windows and doors, but also to enhance the external views from the inside of our home and upgrade the exterior appearance of the house. All this has been achieved.

Please commend Dan and his team for their attention to detail and the thoughtful way they worked with us as we worked our way through a demanding process. There was never any question of Dan’s total commitment to doing a quality job. The Sarasota County inspector was very complimentary of the quality of all the work.

Since this house was originally built in 1966 and completely renovated in 1998, the depth of stucco and the use of extensive external concrete and architectural foam decoration presented some considerable challenges to the installation work. However, we were able to navigate through all this to achieve a very good outcome.

I was grateful to have Brian Dunn, an independent contractor, to hold my hand and help me locate quality craftsmen to effect the restoration of drywall, stucco, carpentry, architectural foam and paint work to bring the project to a successful conclusion. Dan’s respectful treatment of the alarm system also made the reconnection of that network achievable in just two visits by the alarm company.
